The Alpes Trail will allow you to admire some of the most beautiful and impressive passes of the Valais Alps along its route. It is a demanding mountain hike but will provide you with an exciting experience. You will see breathtaking peaks and incredible landscapes such as passes and lakes at the foot of the mountains. You will cross one after the other the various summits until you arrive in the famous ski resort of Verbier.

Step 1 : by boat from Vevey, St-Gingolph – Taney
Step 2 : Taney – Torgon
Step 3 : Torgon – Morgins
Step 4 : Morgins – Barme
Step 5 : Barme – Cabane de Salanfe
Step 6 : Cabane de Salanfe – Lac d’Emosson
Step 7 : Lac d’Emosson – Trient
Step 8 : Trient – Champex, tranfer by bus/train to Verbier
Each step represents an average of 5 to 6 hours of walking per day. This route is of difficult level. You will receive detailed information for each step.
