The Alpes Trail will allow you to admire some of the most beautiful and impressive passes of the Valais Alps along its route. It is a demanding mountain hike but will give you an exciting experience. You will see breathtaking peaks and incredible landscapes such as passes and lakes at the foot of the mountains. Starting your itinerary from the incredible Matterhorn, you will cross one after the other the various peaks until you arrive in the famous mountain station of Airolo.

Step 1 : by train from Zermatt, Grächen – Saas Fee
Step 2 : Saas Fee – Gspon
Step 3 : Gspon – Simplon Hospiz
Step 4 : Simplon Hospiz – Rosswald
Step 5 : Rosswald – Binn
Step 6 : Binn – Rif. Margaroli
Step 7 : Rif. Margaroli – Cap. Corno-Gries
Step 8 : Cap. Corno-Gries – Airolo, tranfer by bus/train to Luzern
Each step represents an average of 5 to 7 hours of walking per day. This route is of difficult level. You will receive detailed information for each step.
